Jim says, "The combination of durability and low maintenance along with a choice of 5 colors, offers my customers the option of matching or contrasting their deck furniture with their AZEK Deck."

Ken Newland's Building & Restoration of Weston, CT used AZEK all over this shingle-style house in Old Greenwich, CT. "All of the flat stock on the exterior is AZEK product - the fascia, window trim, soffits, frieze, water table, arches, columns and raised panels" said owner Ken Newland. With flood tide five feet up the columns, Ken specified AZEK because of its durability. "It’s such a workable trim product, we even rout it on the job site and make our own mouldings," he said. His workers cut the arches out of AZEK sheet and also used it to wrap the wide columns. "The homeowners are extremely happy, with no
worries about repair and maintenance" said Ken. And AZEK's paintability makes this home a real winner. As seen in Journal of Light Construction.
Larry Bowman, owner and president of Bowman Building Supplies Inc. uses AZEK products for window and door accessories that he sells to builders in the over $500K market.
He loves using AZEK products for louvers, including cupolas with slanted louvers. "We've built about 12 cupolas completely of AZEK products in the past six months," says Larry, "It's the best alternative board on the market and we've tried them all. We can rout, shape, laminate, and bend AZEK Trimboards into virtually any shape in our oven and it exceeds our discriminating customer's expectations."
According to Larry, "Pediments, cupolas, corbels and brackets, spires or elaborate facades should not show signs of rot or require maintenance in three short years like with wood. With AZEK products, we can give builders anything they can draw and know it will be there 20 years from now."
AZEK Brings Interior Beauty Outdoors
John F. Buchan, President of Buchan Homes in Bellevue, WA wants his customers to enjoy the same beauty of interior millwork on the exterior of the home with the lowest maintenance possible.
His quest for the best, lead him to AZEK Trim, recommended by Cedar King, one of his siding suppliers. "We use AZEK products for detailed millwork, wrapped columns, window, dormers and door trim. We prefer AZEK Sheet as our grand entry trim product because it is very versatile," says John.
His finish carpenters create curved arches with the sheet material by cutting it or bending thinner pieces. They also choose to paint the AZEK product in custom colors, although paint is not needed for protection. "AZEK gives us a smooth millwork finish that wood or other products do not--natural or man made," he says. "It is a superior product and resonates with our customers for its detailed beauty above and beyond the competition."

"It's amazing what you can do with AZEK Trim, freehand designs and a router," says David Gloss, owner of Gloss Construction in New Bedford, MA.
In a home makeover for a local Dunkin Donuts franchise owner, the 15,000 sq. ft. home served as David's massive canvas for every AZEK profile imagineable. He used a router to create intricate stars, fleur-de-lis, grapes and other personalized creations with every corner customized. He drew most of the designs by hand and the rest was up to his ogee, cove and classical router bits. As seen in Remodeling Magazine.

Jeff Adams, owner of J.W. Adams Construction in
Concord, MA, has seen what extreme weather can do to exposed outdoor structures.
That's why Jeff chose AZEK for a pergola that would have to endure not only a wisteria vine, but a snow load in the winter. "As a restoration specialist, we have milling capabilities and were able to mill the AZEK profiles into nice shapes," he said.
"With 16 ft. spans, and considering snow loads, we decided to reinforce the pergola with aluminum channels for structural support." And, as Jeff explained, not having to paint the pergola will save some painstaking labor for the homeowner.
"The pergola, which sits atop a deck, will look great for years to come and the homeowners can enjoy the outdoor structure without any headaches."

The Crocker Art Museum in downtown Sacramento is one of the oldest art museums in California, established in 1885. Like many older structures, the museum was in need of a facelift, so millwork firm Burnett & Sons of Sacramento ensured it would stand the test of time by using AZEK Trim for the handrails and balustrades of the building's widow's walk.
Jim Miller, President, Burnett & Sons, commented on how historic commissions, such as that of Sacramento, are increasingly embracing "sustainable" materials like AZEK Trim.
"The AZEK Trim material, especially the thicker profiles, were perfect for this application," Jim said. According to Jim, all fabricators have to layer and laminate to build up the product to this attractive 6X6 profile, but when the boards are already 1 1/4 it takes less layering, less time and labor. "We also achieved the desired two inches on the rail caps and the 4X8 AZEK sheets were used to create the newel posts."
To help remodel a 175-year-old church's belfry exterior, Barrows turned to AZEK Trim, which he had used on several smaller projects in the past. Based on his past experiences, Barrows decided on AZEK trim because of its flexibility, durability and ability to withstand the area's harsh weather.
Using assorted sizes of AZEK sheets, Barrows sheathed the trimboards into numerous shapes and then bound them together with AZEK adhesive to replace all the church's railings, louvers, trim, curved spires and spindles.
"The church community is thrilled with the work and we're honored to have brought the church's past back to life. With AZEK trim, we've also ensured that the current renovations will survive well into the next generation."
Deering chose AZEK Trim to design a border fence for a craftsman-style home in Birmingham, MI. "I've read about AZEK trim, but never used it before and wanted something that would out last the house and machine like wood," says Ed, "I couldn't believe its great looks and workability."
"Working with AZEK trim products shaved days from the process," explains Ed, "Although it looks great without paint, we were able to paint it the exact color of the house. Quite honestly, I don't believe I will ever use wood again for this type of project."
Brian Ebersole, owner of Ebersole Brothers Construction, a masterpiece stone veneer home in Mount Joy with more trim accents than usually seen with stone, for a classic look that is "warmed up" with lots of AZEK trim detail.
"As usual, AZEK Trim came through for us," says Brian, "Every piece is equally consistent and workable and there's never a knot or unusable piece."
As Brian explains, they cut the AZEK trim, nail it in place and then forget about it. He uses AZEK Trim for all exterior trim including fascia, soffits and even garage headings.
"We build one to two new homes per year, so we don't build them fast, we just build them right," he says. "We've never had a call back related to AZEK products."

First, Pete Mummey rennovated a New England farmhouse. He used AZEK trim for window trim, soffits, barn doors, garage door jambs, water table, gable and beadboard, topped off by an AZEK cupola made onsite. He glued all of the joints with AZEK Adhesive. The roof even has authentic lightning rods. A curved AZEK Deck was installed with cold-bent AZEK trim at the front entryway.
Secondly, Pete and his carpenter Mike Hanson constructed a customer's $100,000 pergola for which he used mostly AZEK sheet and 1X material for layered mouldings, keystones. The intricate trim detail will hold paint far longer than wood.

Peter knew he found something special when he first used AZEK Trim for all the exterior trim, including the column wrap, swooped window moulding and deck trim, on a new lakefront home on Pewaukee Lake, Wisconsin.
"AZEK Trim was very easy to use and readily cut from sheets to form nearly any shape we needed. Plus, we found AZEK trim products to be incredibly durable under the harsh lakefront conditions. It even holds paint extremely well with the sun beating on it all day long."

"I've been using AZEK Trim for the past four years, but even I couldn't believe the eye catching way the AZEK trim stood out from the brown cedar shakes used in my last project," said Wes McLaughlin, owner and president of McLaughlin Builders in Columbia, PA.
"Like always, I used AZEK products for all the trim work including fascia, porch ceiling and door and window surrounds on a two story luxury home we constructed." Wes said the results were amazing and they saved a great deal of time by not painting the trim.
"AZEK Trim bright white matte finish popped beautifully against the home's dark exterior and field stone facade" he said. "The homeowners are in love with the look and haven't stopped complimenting our work. Needless to say, I'll never use anything but AZEK products again."

As principal of Bradley J. Butcher & Associates, PC in Gaylord, MI, Brad recommends AZEK trim in much of his residential design work.
"We're enamored with the permanence, color, flexibility and low-maintenance of AZEK Trim," says Brad. "Steve built an on-site oven to heat-form the AZEK boards," says Brad. "Once heated, AZEK could be curved around numerous archways and windows, as well as its fascia and soffits. It molded to all our specifications and blended with the look of the natural cedar siding.
The homeowners love the bright, white look which will last indefinitely, even without being painted."
